According to the error message, you already had nvidia-glx-new installed. Hard to say without more information though. If you think it really is a bug, please feel free to reopen but give some more info like what version(s) you had installed before, what version(s) of Envy you've used, attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log, etc.

I had version 0.9.10.
For some reason I had a whole bunch of Xorg stuff missing. Running sudo apt-get -f install fixed many problems.
