Bug Description

Binary package hint: consolekit

After logging in via gdm, plugging in a USB drive produces:

Cannot mount volume. Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied

ck-list-sessions produces:
** (ck-list-sessions:32282): WARNING **: Failed to get list of seats: Failed to execute program /usr/lib/dbus-1.0/dbus-daemon-launch-helper: Success

This means that consolekit-daemon was not running, or has crashed. Can you replicate this situation? Which Ubuntu release do you use? Do you have a consolekit crash in /var/crash/?

after enabling nvidias prop driver, just after login
there is a file /var/crash/_usr_sbin_console-kit-daemon.0.crash
