Calc hangs editing highlighted cell

This seems to be related with

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/193139

According to that bug report

exiting openoffice, deleting $HOME/.openoffice.org2/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml and restarting openoffice solves the hangs and crashes.

Can you confirm if this helps you

This fixes the

javaldx failed!

message, but calc still hangs

Can you still reproduce this on the final Ubuntu 8.04 release? I tried doing what you stated in the bug report and it works fine for me. Which version of *buntu are you running?

Almost the same procedure - using 2.4.0 on Hardy:

1. Put data in a cell.
2. Merge it will the next cell.
3. Copy it ctrl-c
4. Paste it somewhere else ctrl-v
5. Edit it F2.
6. On hitting return, oocalc hangs.

Same for me.
Work around is to leave selected cell with tab or cursor key before saving the file.
Also I try to avoid using the return key to get my work done.

I can't reproduce this on either 2.4.0-3ubuntu6 or 2.4.1~rc2-1ubuntu1 on Ubuntu i386. Which architecture are the two of you having this problem on?

I can confirm, same bug here. Highlight a cell, press F2, change it, press enter and voila - calc hangs.
I have 2.4.1~rc2-1ubuntu1.

I still can't reproduce this problem on 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu1, what arch is this problem seen on? I am testing on i386.

This seems to have been fixed with the last oocalc update, as I can no longer reproduce this.

I'm still getting the same bug. My system seems to be fully updated. Anyone still etting it?
