Bug Description

When using "Find" in Okular to search for a word not found in the document, the information dialog appears first, followed by an inactive search dialog on top. (See attached screenshot).

It's impossible to close the search dialog or pull the information dialog to the front. The only way to read it is to drag the dialogs apart or minimize and then maximise Okular.

I'm using Kubuntu 8.04 (KDE 4 Remix).

Changed importance to wishlist (see upstream bug) and moved the bug to kdegraphics (new home of okular).

I implemented the patch found in the upstream report. It works great.

This bug was fixed in the package kdegraphics - 4:4.1.1-0ubuntu3

---------------
kdegraphics (4:4.1.1-0ubuntu3) intrepid; urgency=low

  * Disable hyper-annoying popup search dialog. (LP: #224212)

Yay for the usual Kubuntu patch frenzy! *sigh*

What would be great is if you would TALK to us, instead of rolling in your distro untested patches coming from 3rd party sources, even if attached in our (= KDE) bug tracking system.
The real fix (for sure not that patch) is being discussed and done, also with the help of our (= KDE) usability team.
