Bug Description

Hello,
As I mentionned in bug 17159, I have a problem with touchpad recognition. A part
of the bug has been fixed since there is no more need to press "Shift" in order
to press other keys but the touchpad is still non responsive.
If you need any logs to fix this bug, let me know.
Thank you for your job,
Jimbo

Can you confirm that the appletouch module is loaded? Attach dmesg and lsmod
output please.

Hello,
By doing a "modprobe -l | grep appletouch" I have no response so I suppose
appletouch module isn't loaded.
I don't knox if there is a way to attach properly the files you asked me for so
I'll do a copy paste :

Can you manually load the appletouch module (sudo modprobe appletouch)?

This issue should be resolved.

When I try to load appletouch module I obtain a fatal error saying : "FATAL:
Module appletouch not found."
I don't know what else can I do. Would it help if I installed Suse and check if
the touchpad work and if I could find which modules are loaded for the touchpad?
Thank you for your reply. Let me know if I can try something else.

If possible, please upgrade to Dapper's 2.6.15-8 kernel. If you do not want to
upgrade to Dapper, then you can also wait for the Dapper Flight 2 CD's, which
are due out within the next few days.

Let me know if this bug still exists with this kernel.

Jim,

Do you still have this problem? If so, can you test for it with a more recent kernel available in Dapper? Thank you.
