Bug Description

Ever considered using CTRL+N, O, S and Q instead of just the letters as keyboard shortcuts? Try adding an action that adds the text "Son Of a Quill"...

In which language are you using Phatch? You should click inside the text field. I can add "Son Of a Quill" without any problem... What happens when you press N, O, S & Q?

I installed it on my Danish Ubuntu Linux. I started typing in the text field (was gonna add www.distraction.dk) but when I got to "S" it prompted my for a filename to use when saving. "Hmm... autosave, nice feature" I thought and gave it a file name. But it simply would not let me type an S in the field. Took me a while to figure out what was happening :)

If you go to the menu, how are the shortcuts displayed: for example it should be File>New Ctrl+N

Are you sure you put focus on the text field? Select everything in that text field and delete. Afterwards type your text. There should be no problem.

Yes, I am absolutely 110% positive that the input field was selected. I typed in D and i, but the "Save" dialog popped up when I got to S. Screenshot attached.

Extra spaces were added in the translations, which screwed up in the menu entries. For example:
"New\tCtrl-N" is translated in "New \t Ctrl-N"
In order to solve it for now, you need to start phatch with "phatch -l en", which will start Phatch in English. I will solve the translations upstream and try to contact the Danish translators.

This bug is more wide-spread as I thought. It is present in the Catalan, Danish, German, French, Italian, Romanian, Russian and Swedish translations. It renders Phatch unusable for text input. I take this issue very seriously and I am personally fixing all affected translations in launchpad to ensure that this bug is gone. Besides this bug there were some minor issues which I am fixing as well. So be a little patient and I hope to release a new version in my PPA. This can be uploaded to Debian and synced & backported to Ubuntu.

This is a serious bug for which I will request a backport to Hardy, once the fixed package is in Intrepid.

Can you please confirm the latest release fixes your problem?
http://sd-2986.dedibox.fr/photobatch/download/index.html

Or you can also try it from my PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~stani/+archive

Please confirm asap so I can upload this to Debian and Ubuntu. I have verified that it worked myself by launching Phatch as "phatch -l da".
