Bug Description

Binary package hint: xfwm4

I've configured my own keybinding theme for xfwm, but every time I log in, my own shortcuts don't work at first. To make them work again I have to open the window manager settings (where my theme *is* selected), switch to the default theme, and back to my own.
This is with Xubuntu Hardy, I didn't have this problem with previous versions.

I just noticed that this only happens with gdm configured for automatic login. If I login by entering my username/password, everything's fine. Weird...

It's reproducible every time.

All I did was to customize the window manager keybindings in the Xfce settings manager, and to enable automatic login in gdm. Every time I boot the machine (and get to an Xfce desktop automatically), my keybindings don't work.
This does not happen if gdm is configured to require a password, or if i log out from the initial (automatic) session, and then log back in using my password.

I don't know if this is relevant in any way, but I installed from a regular Ubuntu CD, and then switched to Xfce by installing the respective packages.

Thanks for your supporting documents. Could one of these bugs be what you are experiencing? I will link the one that is does apply, which I think is Bug 3948. It looks like developers at Xfce are at least aware of this issue.
