fcitx seems to be an input method that can be used instead of scim to input Chinese characters.

However, http://www.fcitx.org/main/ is only available in Chinese.

Liu Chuanxiang, could you please contact the developers of fcitx and possibly open a bug report (if they use a bug reporting system) if they can have a look at the problem.

Another possibility would be for you to record a video of the problem (you can use a phone or a webcam), or details the use of fcitx (I couldn't find any documentation in English).

Else, it might need the intervention of some Ubuntu devs fluent in written Chinese.

From a technical point of view, it seems that some keystrokes get "eaten" by the application or some library instead of being buffered for transmission to the IME.
Candidates to look into would be: oo.o, libx11 and fcitx, IMHO.

To find the source of the problem we would need to know
 a) if this problem also appears with other IMEs or only with fcitx
 b) if this can be reproduced in other applications or only in oo.o

As I'm not a fast typer, I cannot test this. Any fast typing native speaker out there who can test this?

Just a note, this bug would be closed when 1:4.0.0-1 is synced to natty, the problem has been solved upstream.
