Bug Description
Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release: 8.04
When clicking on the update-notifier the update manager opens as it supposed to do.
When double (or more) clicking the update-notifier the update manager opens more instances. This behaviour should not be allowed. I have tested it on two different machines (laptop and a desktop system) over a period of 3 weeks and running the latest version.
Could it be that the check for an existing instance of the updatemanager is based on a existing update manager window and that doubleclicking is faster than instantiating the window?

Where is the problem with opening more than 1 update manager, there is still a check afterwards that only one of them could execute the update.
You could use one to run the updates und the other to read again about the changes, e.g. you maybe selected only a part of the packages in step before and want to inform yourself what has changed in the other packages, you haven't choosen.
