This is still a good idea, I'm waiting for a response from author of foxmarks to replace bookmarksftp.
Subscribing the archive admins to hopefully get this moving along. If any other info is needed please let me know.

Scott, This should be removed from Intrepid as well, It doesnt support
firefox 3.0 and I'm not really up to supporting this without upstream.
There is not a "free" alternative. I was working on oine but upstream
never got back to me on license.

oh ok. I'm looking into writing one to use free license hut it will take
a while since this would be first one for me. Wonder if i should base it
off bookmarksftp but we will see.

Well if we use mine it doesn't have to be removed since its an upgrade.
I am looking for Asac's package in him PPA to see what he did that i
didn't. He didn't package it i guess when we were talking he meant
flash. So we can go with mine. I will talk to asac see if he wants to
review and push, I am going to update it for 3.5 and maybe 3.6 and see
if it works. It can be pushed as it is now and i can always update it at
a later date. At least i don't see that being an issue. Let me know what
you think.

Thanks I will see if this pakcage is even worth the trouble to fix but i
doubt it, I have yet come to a package that is like this one that is
under free license, If anyone has any idea please let me know and i
wills see about packaging it for KK
The best way to reach me for this is using either:
<email address hidden>
or on IRC irc.freenode.net #ubuntu-mozillateam
