Bug Description

Ubuntu 8.10 rc >> IBM Thinkpad X31

Installed "ubuntu-it" plug-in and "launchpad" plug-in through synaptic, and now Firefox is opening the "new plug-ins/add-ons have been installed" dialog every time restart the computer. (Which it's only supposed to show once after add-ons or plug-ins have been installed, right?).

I got the same effect just now in Jaunty, when new language packs landed. I always get "4 new addons were installed" at starting firefox.

I think the real cause for this is gnome-session just killing everything on logout, instead of properly closing applications (which is also why firefox always tells me that it was ended unexpectedly).

I guess this is not really necessary, but since I made it anyway, here is a screenshot.

The langpacks weren't really "new", but they got updated through language-pack-*. They are in extensions.ini already.

I see the same dialog every time I launch Firefox on my laptop running Karmic. Is there anything I can do to make it stop?
