Customizing partners view fails when saving existing partner

Bug Description
I am working of the latest trunk code as at 19/12/2008. The steps I took to reproduce the bug are
- create a minimal database
- Select a partner
- click [Customize]-> manage view -> res.partner.form at the bottom of the partner view
- add website to the partners view
- save
- create a new partner all works ok
- edit the original partner and add something in the website field, click save you get
list' object has no attribute 'strip'
