Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make ubuntu better. In
Rhythmbox itself, the repeat button will repeat your playlist and not a
specific song. I can't reproduce this bug, but I don't think gnome-do
is the right package. Are you using the rhythmbox gui for the repeat or
gnome do?

As far as I can tell by the information you have provided. You would like a function in rhythmbox to repeat just one song. As it currently does not have this functionality. I have found a bug in gnome about rhythmbox requesting this feature and have linked that bug here. If there is anything else Ubuntu specific we can assist you with please let us know. Otherwise, the gnome bug linked to this should contain any new information.

I often listen to one single song over and over again, and Rhythmbox won't let me do this automatically. Instead, I have to create a separate playlist for that one song.

I tried just adding the song to my Play Queue and hoping it would repeat that, but once it finished playing that song it went on to the next one in the album.

Here's hoping Repeat Single is added to Rhythmbox in some way.

I agree, missing that feature aswell. Having to create a playlist for listening to a single song
repeatedly is not optimal. Being able to play one song of a full playlist as a loop would be nice.

Agreed, I urge whomever the developers are to add this simple feature. Perhaps a button right before the repeat-playlist button.

Maybe this could be created as an extension? What language is used for Rhythmbox extensions?

Also the readme file says to put the directory in the plugins directory, but all the plugin files are just tossed in the archive; there isn't a directory for them. I guess it doesn't matter what name I give to the directory I put them in though.

I forgot to create a self titled folder inside the package. Did it now. Did you activate the plugin inside rhythmbox, or at least it appeared in the plugins list ?

Try to copy the "repeat-one-song" folder and paste it in /usr/lib/rhythmbox/plugins directory.
