Bug Description
Binary package hint: notify-osd
This is a feature request/wishlist bug.
In the same fashion that you can minimise pidgin's main window into notify-osd it would be great if you could do the same with evolution.
This would leave the app open but remove it's need to take up screen real estate only opening it when an email arrives. Also the app needs to remain open for notify-osd to work with it.
Current solution is to use AllTray to add evolution to the system tray for the same effect. This would then leave 2 almost identical envelopes in the system tray.

notify-osd does not have any applet anywhere. It is just a notification- daemon. Strictly speaking this bug is invalid. This should be filed as "wishlist" against https:/ /edge.launchpad .net/indicator- applet.
