Bug Description

I cannot umount my luks encrypted usbstick. I created a udev rule so that the stick appears on /dev/cryptostick. When I plug it in, I get a dialog asking me for my luks password, and mounts it fine. Then 2 devices appear in the drive-mounter: One for the usbstick, and one called 'usbdrive'. Only the latter one offers me an option to unmount, but fails with the message:

'umount: /media/usbdisk is not in the fstab (and you are not root)'

unmounting with 'pumount /media/usbdisk' on the shell works for me without any problem.

I can confirm this. I get exactly same results. I don't have a udev rule though.

Hi,
a upgrade from breezy to new dapper beta get the same error if you will umount a LUKS partion.

I can confirm this, too.

Thanks

Note that this is not specific to the applet itself. Also when unmounting from the desktop (right click -> Unmount) or when entering 'umount /media/usbdisk' from a Terminal the same error occurs.

Another mystery... When unmounting the second, not-encrypted, partition of the same usbdisk, the encrypted partition is also automagically unmounted.. which then works fine :S
