Drives mounted via NVIDIA ITE Raid not shown

Bug Description

I had to manually add my drives to FSTAB in order to mount them on boot and then do not show in desktop, places or computer

fstab entries are

/dev/hde1 /media/fat1 vfat uid=alex 0 0
/dev/hdf1 /media/fat2 vfat uid=alex 0 0

definitely not a kernel bug, so I guess volume manager is what you wanted.

Is that still true with the very latest hal version in Dapper? (0.5.7-1ubuntu10) If so, please do

  lshal > hal.txt

and attach hal.txt here. Thanks!
