Bug Description
There are two copies of kdeglobals config file in kubuntu-
/usr/share/
/etc/kde4/
The latter should probably be removed.
The bug is present in the latest package (1:9.04.26) of both Jaunty and Karmic.

This bug was fixed in the package kubuntu- default- settings - 1:9.10.10
--------------- default- settings (1:9.10.10) karmic; urgency=low
kubuntu-
* Don't install kdeglobals to /etc/kde4 (previously introduced workaround),
it appears that now the settings get applied from the profile as well.
Also, it prevents additional default-settings packages to override
settings already defined in this kdeglobals (e.g. fonts) (LP: #372302)
* Bump Standards-Version to 3.8.2
