karmic alternate CD fails to install

Bug Description

tried the daily build and Karmic alpha 6 karmic-alternate-i386.iso on real hardware and in virtualbox. the install fails with a red screen and a message on tty4 indicating /usr/lib/debbootstrap/pkgdetails is being called with bad parameters

This was true for one day, but is now fixed. See bug 435376.

(I'm not sure how you saw this with Alpha 6; I suspect you were accidentally using the installer in a mode which downloaded bits of itself from the network.)

By the way, if this isn't fixed in a current daily build, then I need the exact text of the error message, and preferably the installer syslog as well (which you can extract using "Save debug logs" from the installer's main menu).
