Proposed fix:

kbuild (1:0.1.98svn2318-1ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  * Applied patch from Fedora to fix build on POSIX.1-2008 systems.
    LP: #441576.

I already committed the fix to the Debian kbuild git repository.
