Dapper: Vesa driver not working under AMD64

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-driver-vesa

Using Dapper Drake flight 7 for AMD64 I am unable to get the vesa driver working. I have tried the i386 version and it works correctly.

Using the AMD64 version I get a blank screen and and after a short period my monitor goes to sleep. I am not able to switch to console.

I will attach the xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log from the LiveCD.

I wrote an error-report:
