Thanks for the report Dale! I don't see anything particularly bad in the provided logs. Can you describe what happened? It was triggered by updating from 9.04?

hi;

thanks for the response.

had updated from 9.04 to 9.10 about a week ago. (~oct 6, 2009)
appeared to finish normally.
did a update manager run. on oct 13 (yesterday)
update manager fround 180+ updates to install.
approx 2/3 into installing (according to progress bar)
3 install errors occured, one of which caused the system to reboot.
all reported to launchpad.
possibly the crash was not captured anywhere.

nothing really strange about hardware.
P III 750 Mhz processor
1GiB memory
30 GB disk
two ethernet cards

this hardware has been running Debian and then Ubuntu (started with 8.04)
without major problems so far.
also dual boots into windoz 2000.
