Bug Description

If I perform a suspend on AC and fully charged battery, on resume I'll get the Suspend Failed bubble (I think I caused this with some of my /etc/acpi tweaking). However, since there is no icon when the battery is fully charged and the system is on AC, the notification bubble shows up right beside the pager in the lower right corner of the screen.

This is by design. g-p-m doesn't place the icon in this case, it leaves it up to notification-daemon which has chosen bottom right.

Not sure how to close this. Is it a bug, or a feature?

Well neither really. It's just policy set by n-d, so I say NOTABUG.

It's a pretty crummy feature if that's what it is... For some absurd reason,
notifications usually pop up in the *notification area *that's located in
the top right next to the *notification* icons. The bottom right is where
the desktop panel switcher is located, and *nothing *else pops notifications
in the bottom right.

mvo: perhaps orphaned notifcations should show up in the top-right instead of bottom-left?

Perhaps then they could travel down to the bottom right, whilst fading out, rotating and performing handstands on their way out.

My personal fix for this particular issue would be to have gnome-power-manager set to "Always show icon" if `laptop-detect` returns true. This is the first modification I make to g-p-m after each new version comes in and wipes the previous config.
