Progress bar hit's 100% long before finished copying large files from ftp

Bug Description

When I use the gnome "connect to server" tool to connect to a remote ftp site, I can copy large files (like 1GB+) to my machine. When I do this, the progress bar on the copying dialog reaches 100% long before the entire file has been copied. The estimated time remaining also finishes counting down long before the file is finished copying.

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Do you still have some network activity when the bar reachs 100% or is the network copy done and it's doing local work then? Is that specific to ftp?

Thanks for getting back to me. At the time I posted this bug, I was
using a Dapper pre-release. I am currently using Edgy knot3 so I
can't test to see if it still occurs in Dapper. However, in a few
hours I'll be able to check this in the current state of Edgy.

If I remember correctly, the copy was not complete when the bar hit
100%. There was also plenty of network activity after that point. I
have used that same tool to copy files using scp and the progress bar
seems to be far more accurate over scp.

Testing it on edgy would be nice. I'll forward it upstream if you still get the issue

Sorry for the delay. Everything appears fine in Edgy. ...But again
I can't speak for Dapper. I can get access to a machine running
Dapper later today and will try again.

marking as fixed if it works fine to edgy then. A backport task could be opened for dapper though I doubt we will work on trying to fix that for dapper soon
