Bug Description

When I confirmed my settings for my Ubuntu (Dapper Final) installation, I realized I wanted to go back to change my keymap. (I'm not too sadistic to make Dvorak my system default. :P)

However, going back was very slow. Each step had to load again, which took a bit. Perhaps an iconic "sidebar" could list all the steps and then going from step 6 to 1 would just take a click on that icon?

Sounds potentially reasonable, although getting the UI right would take some thought. Iconic representations of the steps would be needed, I think.

Any way I could help with this? I do some PyGTK+ programming and from a cursory skim on the internet, I think that ubiquity is written in Python?

If so, where does development happen so I could start hacking? :P

Patches certainly welcome, although ubiquity is a curiously-constructed beast. :-) Use bzr to fetch the development trunk: http://people.ubuntu.com/~cjwatson/bzr/ubiquity/ubuntu
