/apps/gnome-power-manager/action_ac_button_lid and /apps/gnome-power-manager/action_battery_button_lid should not be allowed to be set to "nothing"

Bug Description

The gconf description of those keys doesn't list "nothing" as a valid value for those keys, yet it is possible to set it to "nothing" through the GUI.
The result on this laptop is that when reopening the lid, X goes in a never-ending loop of crashing.

Hmm... It doesn't crash, just doesn't wake up the screen. It's possible to recover by switching to another VT and back again.

What hardware is this? If it's a Dell, it's likely to be a BIOS bug.

It is, a Dell Latitude 110L, but this used to work several releases ago. And no, switching to another VT doesn't fix it, as I can't, since X crashing the whole time prevents me from doing so. Anyway, what I was trying to point out is that either the GUI or the gconf description is wrong. The first case should be an easy fix though.

"Nothing" is a valid setting for the ui, so I have no idea what's actually causing the crashing. What does the X log look like?

Add "nothing" to schema as it's correctly set in the GUI: lp:48290

changing to fix released as the gui and gconf now match.

Could you submit another bug if the crashing still happens on hardy?
