Bug Description

Try muting the PC Speaker from the "Volume Control" or setting the volume to 0%. Executing the command:

echo "print \"\a\"" | python

Will still make the PC Speaker beep.

I would happily test it if you give me a sample "application" which
output its sound to the PC Speaker. Playing a music file will output
its sound to the sound card and not the PC Speaker so it is not
relevant to the setting being discussed. (note: the PC Speaker is a
tiny speaker directly attached to the motherboard, not the speaker
attached to the sound card)

I'm using 6.06 LTS.
