Bug Description

After logging out of a session if you move the mouse the login screen scrambles showing an off-center ghosted image. You can still log back in, but the screen remains scrambled after the session loads If you don't move the mouse the screen behaves normally.
The only way I have found to restore the screen is to re-start the system.

Hello.

Further information on your setup (e.g. do you use Gnome/GDM or KDE/KDM, et cetera) and hardware (main board, graphics card, hmm... maybe what kind of mouse you have) would probably be useful for someone trying to tackle this bug - unfortunately I can't offer more insight into this.

Thank you.

Hello,
I have since discovered that KDE works much better. Gnome was
crashing and acting oddly. I am running an 800 dpi gaming mouse with an
AMD 1500xp+ on an asus board. My video card is a Radeon 9600 with 128 mb
of ddr.
I shall amend my posting to reflect the hardware also.

Thank you fo the advice.

John
