Bug Description
(note: This has been a problem for me since Ubuntu 5.10)
During any processor intensive tasks, it seems that thermal management isn't giving the fans on my dual processor G5 (PowerMac 7,3) enough time to speed up to cool off the processors before it senses them overheating and instantly shuts the entire system down. The module therm_pm72 IS loaded.

Is the i2c-keywest module loaded too?
Take a look at bug #27269.
