Bug Description
Binary package hint: knetworkmanager
Please update knetworkmanager from opensuse svn to a version which supports vpn connections and actually stores the wpa/wep key in kwallet (bug #48225).

VPN support is there since the first version we added to kubuntu.
The point is that vpn extensions to network-manager need to be installed at the first place and we don't currently have packages for them in the repos (feel free to make them eventually ^_^).
If you compile those modules or install them as debian packages, knetworkmanager offers a nice vpn support (tested and confirmed here with openvpn)
