Hi rajesh,

Unfortunately the backtrace is not detailed enough to pinpoint exactly what is going on here, as apport failed to retrace it.

Are you able to reproduce this bug easily? If so, would you mind collecting a full backtrace manually? Directions on doing this are available at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing. Thanks ahead of time.

Btw, I wonder if this might be related at all to bug #506510, which I am about to upload a fix for. You may want to update to xorg-server 1.7.3.902-1ubuntu7 or newer in order to try out this fix first; if that makes the issue go away then there's no need to gather a backtrace, just let us know this bug report can be closed.

This bug was fixed in the package xorg-server - 2:1.7.3.902-1ubuntu7

---------------
xorg-server (2:1.7.3.902-1ubuntu7) lucid; urgency=low

  * Update 100_rethrow_signals.patch: Don't log more error messages after
the log has been closed, else it causes a SIGSEGV (signal 11) crash
under several different conditions, including on even ordinary error
    exits.
