Bug Description

Binary package hint: gthumb

gthumb 2.11.1 on ubuntu 10.04 lucid lynx alpha crashes every time I click on "slideshow".

Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'gthumb' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)'.
  (Details: serial 48 error_code 10 request_code 2 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
aborting...

I don't know where to pass "--sync" on command line, it is not "gthumb --sync"…

I believe the debian patch disabled the slideshow entirely.

The actual problem was (probably) fixed here:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/gthumb/commit/?id=00b0f0d15915e70e79f46a6a72045a9c001ca03c

This fix will be in the 2.11.4 release. At that time, the debian patch should be removed.
