Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

In today's daily kubuntu netbook ksplash disappears before plasma-netbook is loaded. This leaves a black screen for some time. Probably something needs changed in the autostart file.

The Plasma Desktop shell keeps ksplash around until the wallpaper plugins have loaded. The Netbook shell doesn't seem to do this, however.

  * Add debian/patches/kubuntu_108_netbook_app_focus.diff so after an
    application switch on netbook, the application gets focus and the panel
    correctly autohides (LP: #541550)
    - Already backported upstream for 4.4.2, so this patch can be dropped when
      the next new upstream is packaged
  * Split libplasmagenericshell out from kdebase-workspace-bin (should have
    been split out from the beginning)
    - Aligns to Debian (doing it now avoids the need for two years of
      conflicts/replaces)
    - Drop libplasmagenericshell symlink for kdebase-workspace-dev and drop
      kdebase-workspace-bin from kdebase-workspace-dev depends
