LP sends same mail several times [bug mail and maling list mails]

Bug Description

The first I noticed this was a few days ago.

For example Today I received same mail from a bug thrice and twice from another bug.
Attaching shot from the mailbox

Also , from the ayatana mailing list. I notice I'v received the same message several times , for example
https://lists.launchpad.net/ayatana/msg01481.html has come twice. attaching a screenshot as well

Looks like LP has gotten forgetful... ;p

This is unlikely to be a bug with the bugtracker, since you're experiencing the same problem with mail sent from a mailing list. It's worth checking whether there's a condition where you are pulling the same email more than once.

Attaching another bug mail i received twice. Note however this was at different times and the Mail ID seems different.

But the bug has the comment only once.

Like Tom, I don't see how this can be bug mail's fault. I'll need further acknowledgement from others experiencing the problem or steps to reproduce consistently to consider this a bug.

@deryck, Tom mentioned [on irc] that his confusion was since the mail ID was the same , Hence I'v attached mails with different mail ids.

Also i just noticed the earlier mails i had attached were sent from different IP addresses :
203.104.18.238 , 203.104.18.227 , 203.104.18.229 .

As i cant find a pattern. The only other thing i can do it try to find some one else ;)

I received two identical mails from bug #498182 today, the same bug Vish was mentioning in his description. I got comment 25 two times.

Attached you'll find a diff of the raw version two duplicate mails. As you can see they were not sent at the same time. Also, there X-Launchpad-Hash is different, as well as all other identifiers.

I'm no longer facing this bug .
I'v tried to keep an eye out for this but this hasnt happened again since lp was closed for maintenance.[since the previous maintenance shutdown itself].
Closing bug for now, will re-open if i have better info.
