A lot of changes have been applied since the currect version (2.6.1) was released - http://www.xchat.org/changelog.txt

It's an every day application.

2.6.6. is in Edgy will evaluate build.

I had the chance to put it through a nice test, and it looks good to me. Approved for backporting.
