Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17-6-686

The acx11 driver notes that the 2.3.1.31 firmware doesn't really work, so it's probably not optimal to have it as the default for acx11s.

Hardy seems to use the same firmware, bumping the version.

Matthew, what version would be a better one? There's a 2.4.0.70-USB available from http://www.geexbox.org/firmwares/WiFi/acx/

This in my experience has nothing to do with firmware version. I've been encountering this problem on a different platform (AR7/Openwrt) and I've tried different firmwares (2.3.1.31 and 1.2.1.34) and I still see it. I conclude that it is a bug in the acx code, but unfortunately acx development is not really happening at the moment.

I've found the issue with my problem, basically it occurs when the wlan0 device is part of a bridge with an ethernet device. Weird traffic seems to get generated from the DS part which never gets ACKed when broadcast.

Could you please confirm if this issue is still happening?
Could you also test it in the last Ubuntu Intrepid release?
Thanks in advance.
