can't print in landscape mode even when the print preview is correct

Bug Description

I create a file and I need to print the sheet in landscape mode. I choose print, go to paper option and choose the right option to have a good preview. (feed orientation : rotated 90 degrees, Page orientation : Landscape). The file I obtain (after different unsucessfull printing I decided to print a pdf file) is in portrait mode not landscape. I have never been able to print in landscape mode. I tried the regular dapper version for gnumeric and, on another computer with dapper on it too, a compiled version of gnumeric 1.7.0, neither work correctly.

Nop the problem doesn't exist anymore for the simple reason that the option doesn't exist anymore...
It seems that it's not possible to print in landscape with the new version or I didn't find where to choose this option.

I have this in the printer options : go to File -> Print, select your printer, and select the "Paper" tab; one of the dropdown menus is named "Page Orientation" and you can select landscape. (I'm not sure about the names, I translated them from my locale.)

 Jérôme: your description of choosing landscape sounds like a 1.6.x or early 1.7x version of Gnumeric. In those versions printing in landscape was a gamble that usually did not pay off.

In recent versions 1.7.x (I think 1.7.10 and later), to print landscape:

select page-setup
click on "Change paper type"
this opens a second dialog in which you can choose the orientation via radio buttons.

In these recent versions of Gnumeric the landscape printing trouble should be gone! (If it isn't, let me know and it will be a priority to fix it.)

Yes I found it in the "print setupt" -> "paper type". Thanks. But honestly it's not very intuitif. I think that I'm used to navigate in the options of a software but I never thought that the option to print in landscape mode must be choose at another place than the print configuration. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people will be very disoriented by this and I think that this "page setup" menu must be accessibe through the "preview print" and the "print" menu.
By the way, the print setup does miss the french translation at least on my configuration.

IF the interface issue is with the print dialog, you should direct this to gtk+ rather than gnumeric. Gnumeric just uses GTK+'s print dialog.
