Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome

I upgraded from dapper to edgy and most everything seems to work but the menus are barely lit as i move the mouse over the options.

whoops upgrade wasn't complete locales were broken... they seem to break everytime i do a dist upgrade. Another bug in itself. anyways maybe someone could remove this bug...

If you upgraded using the dist-upgrader mechanism, could you please attach the files from /var/log/dist-upgrade/* to this bugreport?

I agree with seb that it is most likely a theme issue, try setting System/Preferences/Theme to e.g. "Human".
