There is a newer upstream version and a debian bug for getting 1.18 into Debian and then we can try and sync that.

unfortunately 1.18 doesn't compile. If I have the time, I'll investigate this deeper, but for now I uploaded a fixed 1.16-4ubuntu1.

Finally vice has been built. I'll close this bug for now. As written above, it may be possible that I'll go for 1.18, if I should find enough time.
