Bug Description

Binary package hint: synaptic

While helping a new user on the forums install the LAMP stack on a desktop system, I forgot what the exact command was in synaptic, that allows you to mark all the packages for installation, instead of search for each individual package. It turns out that "mark packages by task" is no longer available.

It looks like this option is only available if tasksel is installed. See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1594928.

Since synaptic does not currently suggest or recommend tasksel, this needs to be installed separately, which might not be obvious.
