Bug Description

Binary package hint: kpackagekit

Don't know exactly if this is the right package.
But if you look into Systemsettings->KPackagekit, "Get and Remove Software", and scroll down to the Qt tools (designer, assistant etc.) there is also qt creator listed, but translated with "Qt Ersteller". This is very unpretty. The name is "Qt Creator" and nothing else. The translation is unnecessary and sounds weird.

I created a suggestion to change the string to "Qt Creator".
Hopefully it gets accepted by the German translation team.

Thanks for the report.

I just fixed that string in: Ubuntu Maverick (10.10) app-install-data-ubuntu source package, German translation of the template app-install-data, String #3424 (changed from »Qt Ersteller« to »Qt Creator«).

See https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/maverick/+source/app-install-data-ubuntu/+pots/app-install-data/de/+translate?batch=10&show=all&search=qt+creator

Therefore I will change the two statuses for this bug to »Fix Committed« now. Or is there any wrongly translated occurrence of that string anywhere else, that I missed?

Regards,

Dennis

Hi Christian or any other KDE user who could re-install Qt Creator to test the translation fix!

Can you tell us, whether the wrong translation of the desktop entry is still there or is this translation fix released now so that the problem doesn't exist anymore?

Thanks.
