Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use. What do you call "breaks down"? Does it hang? crash? What do you call "folder tree"? A list view for the main window? The sidebar tree mode?

Ubuntu Dapper Drake

breaks down = it crashes

folder tree: I don't know what the correct name is. If I open nautilus I have two frames: the left one (that is the one I call "tree"), the right one (where the files are listes)

By the way: I know that other users have the same bug too.

Greetings from Hamburg,
Jens

if it crashes could you install libgnomevfs2-0-dbg nautilus-dbg and get a backtrace:
- gnome-session-remove nautilus
- gdb nautilus
(gdb) run
... get the crash
(gdb) thread apply all bt

At the moment I can't replicate the bug. Everything works. I wonder....

Ok, there is the bug (feature), that the program shuts down, if I delete a folder in the tree (pane at the left side). But that is an old bug/feature and well known.

Please deactivate this bug report until I have the problem again. Thanks!

Marking as rejected for now. Feel free to reopen if you get the issue again. The other issue you mention is bug #36500 and fixed with edgy
