@david, neil: is unity -b still supported? If not, we should remove it from unity --help

It appears the webapp support in unity in Maverick is broken in various ways. Here is a list of the problems I have identified so far, along with one big patch that fixes them (I can split the patch in atomic chunks if desired):

 • After the icon for a webapp is fetched, it is not updated in the launcher
 • Webapps are not kept at the bottom of the launcher (next restart they are at the top)
 • No visual notification that a webapp has been added (this is an optional feature rather than a bug in itself, it can be ignored)
 • Webapps are not correctly stored in and removed from GConf
 • The hostname extraction is broken for https:// sites
 • The favicon extraction is broken in a number of cases
 • The name of a webapp replaces "special" characters with dashes (mentioned in the bug description)

Let me know how I can help in getting those fixes in for Natty (if webapps are to be supported).
