Bug Description

When the Software Centre is 'Rebuilding Software Catalogue', it's frustrating not knowing when you'll be able to use the Software Centre again as there is no indication as to what is happening or when it will finish.

I propose some sort of progress bar that would give the user an indication of the progress of the rebuild process. Nothing other than a simple bar, maybe even with a percentage indicator.

A screenshot of the problem is attached.

It may save time to fix this bug at the same time as bug 605048.

Working on 605048, spoke to Michael Vogt. Instead of disruptive rebuild preventing user from continuing, plan is to rebuild silently in the background into a fresh db and then overwrite db with rebuilt copy.
This solution should fix both these bugs

The linked branch has landed and deals with this silently - so this bug is now 'fix released'. Thanks Aaron!
