creating a new instance via eucatools with wrong instance type get the error "global name 'exception' is not defined"

Bug Description

When I try to create a new instance via eucatools, I am getting an NameError exception :

chmouel@chmoutest:nova/code/trunk$ euca-run-instances -k test -t blah_blah_est_pas_la ami-toe2hcf4
NameError: global name 'exception' is not defined
