Bug Description

Binary package hint: libgcrypt11

libgcrypt11 (1.4.6-4) experimental; urgency=low

  * Stricter version requirement (>> 1.10-0.1 instead of >= 1.4) on the
    libgpg-error-dev build-dependency, to get correct dependencies in the
    udeb.
  * Use debhelper compatibility level 7.

libgcrypt11 (1.4.6-3) experimental; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/13_ftbfs_gold.diff fix build failure with binutils-gold.
    Closes: #555179
  * Add libgcrypt11-udeb. Closes: #608504 (Thanks for the patch, Jonas Meurer)
  * Sync with Ubuntu:
    - Disable tests when cross-building.
    - Keep la file in /usr/lib, with a symlink in /lib.

libgcrypt11 (1.4.6-1) experimental; urgency=low

  * New upstream version.
  * Drop debian/patches/20_ftbfsmips.diff, included upstream.
  * Includes tiger message-digest variant with commonly used output print
    order. Closes: #575038
  * Interface extended (GCRY_MD_TIGER1 GCRY_MD_TIGER2
    GCRY_CIPHER_MODE_AESWRAP), bump shlibs.
  * Policy 3.9. I have kept the conflicts for libgcrypt{,7}-{doc,dev}
    unchanged instead of trying to convert them to Breaks. These would only
    trigger on upgrades from installations older than Sarge (3.1).

Dear Rico,

Thank you for your work. However, your patch seems to be unnecessary.

1) In future, please update line in debian/changelog to:
  * Merge from debian experimental. Remaining changes: (LP: #702765)

2) Binary Package: libgcrypt11-udeb has been applied in Debian (debian/control), please don't duplicate it.

3) debian/patches/21_ld_no_as_needed.diff is fixed in Debian by 13_ftbfs_gold.diff

4) All changes in debian/rules have been superceded in Debian.

5) debian/
              libgcrypt11-dev.install
              libgcrypt11-dev.links
              libgcrypt11.install
              libgcrypt11-udeb.install
I guess we can drop changes in files mentioned above, but I'm not sure and would be nice to review by core-dev member.

Summarizing, all changes have been included in Debian and this is a sync.

OK, i have done this last year, and havent looked for debian releases lately, sorry. I will update this later this week.

We can't sync it until libgpg-error-dev is not merged with Debian experimental. I'm unsubscribing ubuntu-sponsors.
I'll have a look on libgpg-error-dev.
