Bug Description

Binary package hint: gimp

Using edgy. I am using ltsp, so gimp is running on the server but displaying on a thinclient.

When I rotate images by an arbitrary angle, after a few images (seems to be random - anywhere from 1 to 5) the image displayed on the screen stops updating (and doesn't update on anymore images until I shut down gimp and restart). If I do something like flatten layers, the rotated image will appear.

Thank you for your bug. Do you have that problem only when using ltsp?

I've since done a clean single computer install, and it has the same
problem. It happens faster when large photos are being manipulated.

My current machine that has the same problems is an AMD64 running 6.10
locally.

As an added test, if I select an area and do a color fill, originally
it fills fine, but after manipulating a few images, it fills, but you
can't see the effect of the fill until doing something like resizing
the image or flattening layers.

If it would help narrow the problem down, I would be glad to come up
with a few images and a pattern that would cause the problem to occur.
(Although it seems to be pretty much any set of large images).

Thanks.

Hi there
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release?

Thanks in advance.
