Bug Description

When searching for bugs, the bug comments are currently not searched. The comments usually contain a lot of useful information, so it should be able to search them as well.

We might want to make it possible to choose whether you want to include the comments when searching, though, since the comments migh contain a lot of unrelated information.

Ideally, the description contains all information that's relevant for searching. The comments contain stuff that might be completely irrelevant, but nevertheless cannot be deleted.

Ideally, yes, in practise, no. For the description to contain all the
relevant information, someone has to update the description, summarising
the bug properly. For bugs with only a few comments, that's usually more
work than it's worth, though.

I second this request. Use case: searching for error messages or codes. Often, the bug submitter will add additional information to the report in a second comment. This is often true when the reporter adds log file snippets or error messages (which are obviously very useful when checking for duplicates). There should really be a way to search for these gems!

This has regressed since searching in bug comments was disabled due to perfomance reasons.

Stuart, can you try to optimize the searching of bug comments and enable it again in this cycle?
