Doesn't show up in the ``Applications'' menu

There is a .desktop file inside the source package. Also ubuntuguide.org mentions you have to write a .desktop file for it, so perhaps the .desktop file is not being installed properly?

It's the same in Feisty - no menu item for NoteEdit.

I modified the .desktop file to make the menu entry appear under Audio&Video. Here is the debdiff, I hope it may help.

there's something wrong in this debdiff, why do you keep config.* stuff?
please check again everything and upload a new fixed debdiff.
