Bug Description

Binary package hint: tomcat6

/etc/cron.daily/tomcat6 comes with the tomcat package and deletes all war files' log files after 14 days. i would argue that nothing should be deleted without explicit permission of the user - this is especially since there is nothing in logrotate for tomcat and yet there's a lone script in cron.daily that deletes logs. lost some valuable data because of this :(

This would appear to be still the case, and in Debian's packages as well. Would you be willing to file this is a bug there?
