Bug Description
The ubuntu 6.10 i386 installer program do not come with the bcm43xx driver firmware.
I understand the license issues with this, but the installer just think everything is working. I try to "iwconfig eth1 essid [myname]" at console 2 during installation and it fails. The installer must at least tell that something went wrong.
The ideal would be for it to auto download / get (from a CD or floppy) the firmware and install it correctly. Or easier, tell the user what to to if it is the case.
This is a common wireless device, I believe many people suffer from it.
Thank you.

Indeed, the module shouldn't be loaded until it doesn't work.
if you don't know, for bcm43xx, you can use bcm43xx-fwcutter :)
